Job description:
People management as well as process control are the keys to sound financial management.
You'll lead a financial and accounting staff to deliver accounting data and financial information to management decision makers, accurately and on time.
You'll direct the development, implementation and administration of financial planning, reporting and transaction processing systems and procedures.

Responsibilities include the following:
Operational Excellence
Accountable for establishing internal accounting procedures.
Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the accounting organization’s goals and objectives (US GAAP and Russia GAAP).
Ensuring business control metrics — BFT’s and score-cards are within pre-defined goals: full and timely balance sheet account reconciliation month by month, qualitative and timely quarterly balance sheet packages.
Directs the development and the update of all relevant accounting policies.
Actively participates and contributes to the reengineering of Information Technology systems and processes which will improve the quality of timely accounting and financial data as well as the internal accounting controls.
People Management
Provides effective leadership and supervision of the Russian accounting team.
Ensures that the training and development needs of staff members are addressed.
Develops tactical development programs in order to retain key people.
Customer
Ensures that effective accounting processes are in place to satisfy key customer’s expectations (Cash Management process, Purchase Administration, Travel Reimbursement process, Accounts Payable etc.).
Ensures the appropriate availability for providing consultancy on complex accounting issues.
Financial
Ensures that HP Russia statutory reporting, tax reporting (in collaboration with tax team) and audit requirements are met.
Contributes in strategic improvement activities.

Your profile:
Chief Accountant Certification on Russian GAAP (CPA).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma or Master's degree in Business/Finance.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Chief Accountant in Russia (experience in an international company is desirable).
Strong analytical and PC skills.
Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) with a particular emphasis on working with Executive level management. Fluent in English.
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP (preferably) or IFRS accounting principles.
Supervisory experience.
Strong leadership and change management skills.
Ability to work under pressure. Manage time effectively, with the ability to handle several concurrent projects.
Ability to apply extensive expertise in solving complex financial issues.
